Terms & Conditions

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Last updated: 12 October 2026

1. Business details and geographic scope

Karow Wellness.

Business address: Based in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
Email: wecare@karowwellness.com
Website: karowwellness.com

These terms apply to our website and, when incorporated into an agreement, our non-medical support services in Canada, including all provinces and territories, and the United Kingdom.

This includes London, all 32 London boroughs, the City of London and surrounding areas in England. Actual service availability is confirmed during intake.

Mandatory laws applying to a client or transaction take priority over any conflicting provision.

2. Your service agreement

An enquiry does not create a service agreement.

Before you commit to paid services, we provide the relevant information and a written agreement identifying:

- The service recipient and contracting parties.
- The support included and its limits.
- Service location, frequency and arrangements.
- Start date and duration.
- Fees, currency, taxes, expenses and payment dates.
- Any renewal arrangements.
- Cancellation, termination and refund conditions.
- Authorised contacts and update permissions.

We provide a copy you can retain and any notices or forms required by applicable law.

Services begin after acceptance, completion of the necessary permissions and satisfaction of applicable legal requirements.

Specific agreed terms take priority over these general terms where lawful. Neither document removes mandatory consumer rights.

3. Non-medical services

Agreed services may include but not limited to companionship, scheduled visits and check-ins, limited and full grocery runs, practical errands, authorized updates, liaison and non-medical advocacy.

Karow Wellness does not provide medical assessment, diagnosis, treatment, nursing, counselling or personal care.

We do not administer or manage medication or provide hands-on assistance with bathing, toileting, dressing, lifting or transfers.

Advocacy and liaison means helping communicate concerns and preferences within the agreed scope. They do not give us authority to make medical, legal or financial decisions.

Any additional task must be expressly agreed and remain within our lawful service scope.

4. Emergencies and missed contact

Karow Wellness is not an emergency service, alarm response service or continuous monitoring service.

Contact takes place according to the agreed schedule. Messages outside that schedule may not receive an immediate response and include additional fees.

For an emergency, call 911 in Canada or 999 or 112 in the United Kingdom.

The client agreement will describe the procedure for an unanswered scheduled contact or missed visit, including escalation to nominated contacts where appropriate.

Where an urgent concern arises, we may contact emergency services or other appropriate people in accordance with the circumstances and applicable law.

Our check-ins do not guarantee that every illness, injury or hazard will be identified. We remain responsible for carrying out agreed tasks with reasonable care and skill.

5. Arranging support for someone else

A person arranging services must accurately explain their relationship to the recipient and any authority they hold.

The recipient’s consent is required unless a legally authorised representative can validly act for them. We may request evidence of that authority.

Age, disability or a diagnosis does not by itself establish that someone cannot make their own decisions.

The agreement identifies who is responsible for payment and who may receive information. Payment alone does not confer decision-making authority or unrestricted access to private information.

6. Access, information and safety

Please provide accurate and detailed information reasonably needed for services, including access instructions and relevant known risks. Notify us promptly of changes affecting the arrangement.

Visits require appropriate permission to enter the home or facility. Facility rules and lawful access restrictions apply.

We may pause a task or visit where there is a reasonable safety concern, threatening or abusive conduct, or a request outside our service scope.

Where practical, we explain the concern and discuss next steps. Decisions about ending or changing services are subject to the agreement, applicable law and the recipient’s circumstances.

7. Contractors

All Services will be conducted by independent contractors engaged by Karow Wellness.

We coordinate the agreed support and may arrange a suitable replacement when the usual contractor is unavailable. We communicate significant changes where reasonably practical.

Contractor arrangements do not remove Karow Wellness’s obligations under an agreement or applicable law. (I will personally oversee Everything myself)

8. Fees, expenses and payments and reimbursements.

Prices are disclosed during intake before you agree with engaging with our services.

The agreement specifies the applicable currency, taxes, billing arrangements and total charges or the basis on which variable charges are calculated.

Additional services and expenses require prior approval by myself (the owner Kayden). Grocery and errand purchases are separate from service fees unless expressly included.

Any handling of client money must be agreed in advance and supported by appropriate records. Contractors must not request passwords, PINs or unrestricted bank account access.

Proposed price changes require appropriate advance notice and agreement where required. They do not apply retrospectively to services already agreed at a fixed price.

9. Renewals and recurring payments

Any recurring payment or renewal arrangement must be clearly disclosed and expressly accepted.

We explain billing frequency, duration, how to stop renewal and any applicable notice period before agreement is signed.

We provide reminders, cancellation methods and other protections required by applicable law. Accepting these general terms alone does not authorise an undisclosed recurring charge.

10. Cancellation, refunds and consumer rights

Scheduling and ordinary cancellation arrangements are set out in the client agreement.

Any cancellation or missed-visit charge must be disclosed beforehand, lawful and fair. An ordinary cancellation condition does not override a statutory cancellation right.

If we cannot supply a paid service, we will explain the available remedy, which may include replacement, rescheduling or refund. We will not require you to accept credit where the law entitles you to a refund.

Unused prepaid amounts are dealt with according to the agreement and applicable law.

Canadian clients retain all applicable provincial, territorial and federal protections, including rights concerning online or telephone agreements, agreements made in the home, required disclosures, delivery of contract copies, cancellation and refunds.

The rights and deadlines applying to a particular agreement depend on the jurisdiction and circumstances. We supply the required transaction-specific information before agreement.

11. UK statutory cancellation rights

Where the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 apply and provide a cancellation right, you may generally cancel a service agreement within 14 days after the day it is made without giving a reason.

Cancellation can be communicated through any clear statement, including by email to wecare@karowwellness.com or by post to our business address. A particular form is not compulsory.

Before a qualifying contract is made, we provide the required cancellation instructions and model for cancellation.

If you ask for services to begin within the cancellation period, we obtain the required express request separately. For agreements made away from business premises, we record that request on a durable medium where required.

If you subsequently cancel, a proportionate charge for services already supplied applies only where legally permitted and the required information and request have been obtained.

Full performance ends the cancellation right during that period only where all legal conditions are satisfied, including the required request and acknowledgement.

Refunds due under these rules are made without undue delay and within the statutory deadline, using the original payment method unless you expressly agree otherwise.

Some agreements fall outside these Regulations or are subject to exceptions. Any applicable exception must be identified accurately in the information supplied before agreement. Nothing here removes another statutory cancellation right or remedy.

12. Privacy and confidentiality

We handle personal information according to our Privacy Policy and applicable law.

Updates to relatives, payers, facilities and other contacts are limited to established permissions or lawful authority.

Confidentiality is subject to disclosures required or permitted by law, including necessary disclosures in certain emergencies or safeguarding situations.

Agreement to services does not automatically authorise marketing or public use of a client’s photograph, story or testimonial.

13. Voluntary contributions

If Karow Wellness accepts voluntary contributions to help people access support, we explain their intended use and any restrictions before payment.

A contribution does not purchase services, guarantee assistance for a particular person or confer priority unless expressly agreed.

We do not describe a contribution as eligible for charitable tax relief or issue charitable tax receipts unless legally authorised.

14. Service standards and liability

We provide agreed services with reasonable care and skill.

We do not guarantee a particular medical outcome, facility decision or response from another organisation.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability or restricts a remedy where doing so is prohibited by law. This includes applicable protections concerning negligence, bodily injury, fraud, intentional wrongdoing and mandatory consumer guarantees.

These terms do not require a client to waive a valid claim or accept responsibility for Karow Wellness’s negligence.

Where UK consumer law provides remedies such as repeat performance or a price reduction, those rights remain available.

15. Changing, suspending or ending services

Clients may request changes or end services according to the agreement and applicable law.

We may suspend or end services for material breach, non-payment, serious safety concerns or needs beyond our service scope, subject to applicable law.

Except where urgent circumstances require immediate action, we provide reasonable notice and an opportunity to discuss the issue. We explain any final charges and refund due.

Changes to an existing agreement require appropriate notice and acceptance where required. Updating our website alone does not retrospectively change an agreement.

16. Website use

You must not use our website unlawfully, impersonate another person, submit deliberately misleading information or attempt unauthorised access.

General website descriptions do not replace the specific support agreed with an individual client.

Our logo, branding and original content belong to KAROW Wellness or their respective owners. You may view and print information for personal use. Commercial reproduction requires permission.

External websites have their own terms and privacy practices.

17. Complaints

Send service complaints to wecare@karowwellness.com

I will acknowledge the complaint personally, investigate appropriately and explain the outcome and any proposed resolution. Privacy complaints follow the procedure in our Privacy Policy.

You retain the right to contact an appropriate regulator, consumer protection authority or dispute-resolution body and to pursue an available legal remedy.

Where legally required, we provide information about relevant alternative dispute-resolution arrangements.

18. Governing law and local protections

For Canadian service agreements, the governing law is that of the province or territory identified in the client agreement, together with applicable Canadian federal law. Where none is identified, Alberta law applies, subject to mandatory protections applying elsewhere.

For services supplied in England, including London and surrounding areas, the governing law is that of England and Wales.

If services are supplied in Scotland, Wales or Northern Ireland, the agreement will address any applicable local requirements. Choosing a governing law does not remove mandatory protections otherwise available to the consumer.

Nothing requires a consumer to bring proceedings in a location contrary to applicable law or surrender a legally protected right to access a court.

19. Québec language requirements

Where Québec law requires a French version of an agreement or related document, it will be supplied in accordance with those requirements.

A version in another language is used only where the applicable conditions have been met, including an express choice after provision of the French version where required.

These terms do not require anyone to waive French-language rights.

20. Updates and enforceability

We may update these general terms for future agreements and identify the date of the change.

An existing agreement changes only through the procedure permitted by that agreement and applicable law.

If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent lawful.
